In connection with the foreign exchange swap agreement concluded with the People’s Bank of China, Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) announced the start of the Hungarian Central Bank's Renminbi Programme (JRP) as of the first day of the Chinese New Year.
In connection with the MNB's Renminbi Programme the plenary meeting of the Budapest Renminbi Initiative was held in the Central Bank of Hungary 26 March 2015. The purpose of the Initiative is to expand the investment spectrum and financing sources of Hungary and to foster Chinese-Hungarian economic partnership.
